​The current world of online music presents challenges for both music fans and artists:
The ease of making music in one’s bedroom and posting it online has led to over eight million artist being on Spotify (with over 60% having less than 10 listens). How do music fans sort through all of this?
​
The breakdown of the major label system has simultaneously set artists free but also left them to fend for themselves. Most are missing out on key elements necessary to launch successful careers: career guidance, production/recording expertise, access to high quality recording studios, branding, marketing, promotion and social media strategy.

Our Vision

For Music Fans: Majestic Music is creating a virtual music festival that showcases great artists recorded with audiophile fidelity and operates as an online music social club for fans.

​For Artists: Majestic offers a world class recording studio and content creation center, career and creative guidance, a place to connect with music fans and unique ways to monetize music related content.

Our website/app is a place for fans to discover, explore, discuss, interact with and learn about our artists, what goes on behind the music and to experience music content in ways that only we offer. We monetize this with a myriad of special products and experiences that range in price from $5 to $5000+

Our model goes against current convention. Instead of mass digital distribution, our music is exclusively available at our website and app. Instead of trying to appeal to everyone we are designed for music superfans, passionate music enthusiasts who support the artists they love, purchase merchandise & concert tickets, want to know what goes on behind the scenes and spread to word to others.
Our Model
1. Development: With decades of experience in A&R Producing and developing Grammy winning artists we offer creative and production guidance for both new and experienced artists with emphasis on strong songwriting and developing a cohesive vision for their project, which we call an Artist Project.

2. Recording Audio & Video Content: projects are recorded in our world class studio using our own audiophile standard, Majestic Dimensional Fidelity. With our cinema quality 4k video & lighting system we create visual content in-house to accompany each Artist Project which can include interviews, behind the scenes footage, music videos, documentaries and a variety of live stream broadcasts. We also release recordings made outside our facility that meet our standards musically and sonically (remastered/remixed if necessary).

3. Special Products Design & Branding: In collaboration with the artist we brand each Artist Project with a unique trademarked name and then design a range of special products around that brand.

4. Connecting with Music Fans & Superfans: Our website/app is a never ending music fan expo; a world of music interaction designed to cultivate, entice and satisfy the desires of music fans & superfans. They are treated to behind the scenes videos, livestream performances, live Q&A's with artists/producers, documentaries about our artists, videos about our studio & methods, discussion forums, gear reviews, tips on how to listen critically and how to get the most out of home listening equipment, interviews with musicians etc.

6. Additional Artists:
In order to populate our site with a critical mass of content we host additional music content that is not created by Majestic. These are musical works that meet our standards. In these cases Majestic works with the artist to design a brand and associated range of special product merchandise which we feature on their page. Majestic may mix or master these projects to improve the quality if necessary.

The Artist Project
An Artist Project is a unique musical entity that includes musical content (an album of songs) video and special products associated with it. A Project can be created by a band, a solo artist or by musicians specifically brought together for it. We encourage and work with artists to reinvent themselves for the Project, to reach for something new or go in a direction they have not previously explored. Generally, the project will have a unique name that is trademarked and, we then develop a range of special products around that theme and project name.

One example of this is an Artist Project, Funktify Featuring Paulette McWilliams. Consisting of the former members of Luther Vandross's touring band, Funktify is a retro 70's tinged funk/soul project. It consists of a 12 song album recorded at Majestic Studio, and a feature length documentary shot in 4k with cameos from Chaka Khan and other luminaries. The artwork and special products will be contoured around the retro 70's funk/soul branding and may include things like Funktify branded headphones/turntable, bell bottom jeans etc. With appropriate audience demand we will continue to develop a series of retro lifestyle products and seek relevant corporate partnerships.

The Majestic Music Studio
The Majestic Studio reflects our passion, vision and obsession to create audiophile quality recordings in a highly creative and inspiring space. Beginning with an 1804 farmhouse we built a world-class recording facility combined with a multi bedroom bed & breakfast, so artists can reside there while they create their Artist Project.
The studio features a treasure trove of incredible instruments and recording equipment collected over 30 years as well as a 4k video production system allowing us to create broadcast quality events, interviews, music videos and documentaries. Additionally, it functions as our mad lab to explore audio recording techniques to push the envelope of sound quality. We share all of this with public through videos and discussions so they can be a part of our world.

Branding
Majestic Music is a brand of quality: Great Artists, Great Sound and a fully involving experience for music fans. That branding assures that our artists are going to be taken seriously by the public. If it's here, it's worth listening to.

In addition, each Artist Project is its own brand, focusing on whatever makes it special.
​
One unique aspect of our branding is our "velvet rope" concept. In a world where all content is available to all people, which in turn devalues it, we are music's best kept secret; a cool niche where passionate music creators interact with passionate music lovers. By going against the grain and keeping our primary content only on the website/app we make it more valuable. This concept of exclusivity is also reflected in our many limited edition special products and VIP opportunities associated with our Artist Projects.

Data
Centralizing all activity at the website/app provides us with invaluable data that benefits everything we do. This allows us to monitor the level of success of our promotions, sales, Artist Projects and make adjustments as necessary in addition to creating targeted promotions based on individual fan preferences. Locational data on our fans helps in booking and promoting shows & tours for our artists.

Promotion / Marketing: Eyeballs
The goal in the current landscape, whether one is a Tik Tok influencer or a major movie studio is to get eyeballs on what one is doing. The public is overwhelmed and jaded from email blasts, banner ads etc. Most people rate "recommendation from a friend" as the #1 way they try something. This is why we employ the concept of building a community of superfans. They are the ones who spread the word to other fans.
In addition to building a community our model contains two other important concepts: cross pollination and additive promotion/marketing.

This means that any and every dollar we spend promoting & marketing whether it's for an individual Artist Project, the label itself, a live stream broadcast, a show or tour, a documentary film etc is designed to bring the music fan to our website/app (additive) and once they come they are exposed to every other Artist Project and everything else we offer (cross pollination).

Whereas a traditional label treats every artist like an island, requiring a from-the-ground-up campaign to expose an artist, our focus is on driving traffic to our website/app and building our community.
Our marketing and promotion strategy is ground up and focused. We cast our nets into the trenches of the internet where music fans dwell in the form of strategically leaked teasers of our content, participation in discussion groups, our YouTube channel and paid social media promoters.

We look at each Artist Project to see how best to expose it. For example, for Funktify, because there is an interesting story to tell we are creating a full documentary with commentary from Chaka Khan, Billy Idol, Bette Midler, Johnny Mathis, Ray Parker Jr. and others. We will seek licensing with Netflix etc. in addition to entering it in film festivals. Because the soundtrack is the Funktify Project album and most of the filming was done at Majestic Studio the film is one big promotion for Funktify, Majestic and all the other Artist Projects will benefit from the increased traffic to our website.
In addition, our artists integrate the website/app into their live shows assuring multitudes of fans get the app at each show. One example of this is that during a show the artist instructs the fans, to download the Majestic app and put their phones on "speaker" for a unique experience. Then the entire venue of smartphones simulcasts the drum beat for a song as the band begins to play along. Other enticements might include a free song by the artist, opportunity to upload selfies from the show to the website etc. Multiple artist touring times venues full of fans equals multitudes of eyeballs on our app, all recommended by someone they trust, the artist.

Licensing & Brand Endorsements
Majestic will pursue licensing and sensible brand endorsements for its Artist Projects. This provides both income and valuable exposure. Our brand of quality will lend itself to these opportunities.

Majestic Video & Live Streaming
Video content and live streaming are an important part of our model and in keeping with our brand of quality, the studio is equipped with broadcast quality 4k cameras and a pro lighting system. In addition to developing video content for each Artist Project ranging from interviews to full documentaries and music videos, we are developing a live streaming show called Friday Night At Majestic, which will feature our artists.

Majestic Presents Tours and Music Festival
As we build a critical mass of artists and content we will group artists together for Majestic Presents tours which we will grow into traveling music festival. The data we gain from our website will provide critical information for booking and promoting tours.
